The Highlander was very clean. (I saw pics of the shape a previous renter left it.) We pretty much travelled the allowed 600 k to Muskoka and back. $65.00 in fuel =@5.7L per 100k. Not bad. Pick up and drop off were fine.

As a former Turo host myself, I rarely complain because I know what goes into managing rentals, but my very first experience as a renter on the platform was deeply disappointing and unacceptable. On the literal day of my trip, which was booked for a wedding, the host notified me that the car had front end damage, brushing it off as purely cosmetic when it clearly was not. I took the car without making a fuss, only to discover at pickup that both front tires were practically threadbare. Because I had road trips to Montreal and London scheduled with my baby in the car, safety was my top priority, so I politely asked if he had better tires on hand and offered to wait for him to swap them out. Instead of addressing a clear safety hazard, the host became hostile and defensive over every point raised, trying to frame keeping my reservation as doing me a favor. It was obvious he only cared about securing his payout rather than guest safety or basic customer service, turning what should have been a smooth trip into a stressful, subpar experience.

For public : during the trip I experienced barefaced blackmail from the guest . Car was returned in absolutely disgrace condition, like a toilet , with liquid and foods, destroyed rear seat without any excuse. Perhaps in revenge , the guest trying to destroy our reputation which proceeding us. Our investors are in mood of legal actions to proceed small claim . Refrain from this guest who may damage the car and reputation at the same time .
This rental was incredibly easy from start to finish! I absolutely loved this SUV, it drove like a dream and was spotless inside. The host was amazing, communication was excellent, and everything went smoothly. I would 110% rent from them again when the time comes. Thanks again! 😊
