I honestly can’t give this host 5 stars.
The tire was clearly not checked before the car was handed over to me. Within the first 10 minutes of driving, the tire pressure warning came on. This completely ruined our plans because it was my daughter’s birthday weekend getaway. I had to pull over and wait for them to come. They took almost an hour to arrive, so we started our trip much later than planned.
What frustrated me even more was how the situation was handled. I told Yifan that the car should have been properly checked before giving it to me. I asked when the car was last inspected, and he said it was checked the previous day. Yet he still insinuated that something must have happened during the first 10 minutes after I picked it up. That made no sense to me. The car had been sitting much longer between their inspection and my pickup than it had been in my possession.
When they finally arrived, they checked the car, confirmed one tire has less air than the other 3, and took it away. There was no apology for the inconvenience, no acknowledgment that our day had been disrupted, and they didn’t even offer us a ride. We wouldn’t have taken their offer but it would have been nice. We were just simply left there.
Now they’re telling me they’re giving me a 5-star rating and hoping I’ll give them one too. I’m sorry, but I can’t. Mechanical issues can happen, but not checking the vehicle properly and then handling the situation this way is not something I can overlook.

When we checked the vehicle prior to your rental, the tires were still fine and there was no tire pressure warning. When we came to check, 3 tires were at 40 PSI and one tire that was lower was still at 37 PSI, just 3 lower than the others. it was still safe to drive on, perhaps the previous guest drove over a nail that caused a slow leak. However, we still picked up the vehicle from your address as a precaution, so that you can book another vehicle asap, as you requested.
Host was great. Car too.
