Poor communication and terrible logistics made this a highly stressful rental (4/10 experience).
Check-in Security: The host dropped the car off over an hour early (5:20 AM for a 6:30 AM trip) and left it completely unlocked on a public street with a 1-hour parking limit. No entry instructions were provided, and when I messaged the host to ask how to open the door, my message was read and completely ignored.
Vehicle Note: The vehicle's brake assist felt weak, requiring much more manual foot pressure to stop than expected.
Return Issues: The host showed up over an hour late for the scheduled 9:00 PM pickup (arriving at 10:15 PM), well after the paid parking expired.
Safety Concerns: I was instructed to leave the car unlocked on the street with the key inside for the return. When I raised safety concerns about leaving an unlocked vehicle unattended in public, they were completely ignored.
The lack of punctuality and total disregard for vehicle security mean I won't be renting from this host again.
