**BEWARE booking with SpeedX if you need CAR SEATS for KIDS!** The vehicle itself ran fine and was decently clean — the car seats situation was the problem.
Before booking, I confirmed with the owner that I needed 2 car seats: 1 infant seat and 1 booster for my 2 kids. He showed me a few infant seat options via chat and we agreed on a Graco seat. Based on that agreement, I ordered a compatible Graco stroller to be delivered to our Airbnb (we had sightseeing plans), then booked and paid for both car seats.
Already en route to Vancouver, I was notified last-minute that the Graco seat had been given to another customer. When we landed at 2am, things got worse: the booster was missing entirely, and the infant seat we did receive was a different brand — old, raggedy, and with its expiration date scratched out. We had no choice but to leave the airport with my older child unbuckled: unsafe and illegal.
The owner said he'd look into coming to my location and providing a replacement in the morning. I gave my Airbnb address, but he went silent and didn't follow up until I chased him down. No effort or replacement ever came, making us late to our plans, so we bought new seats for both kids at Walmart to guarantee their safety.
I requested a refund for the car seats, which I did eventually receive after the trip ended. Given both safety failures, I also asked for a refund of the airport parking fee tied to this booking — that request was never answered.
