Beware of the behicle conditions. I rented the car with not visible damage, but even before I reached the highway, the rear spoiler of the car detached and dangled by the red light cable , giving me and my family a big scare. We had to stop and upon inspection, we noticed all the points of connections were deteriorated and in very bad shape, something I could have not done myself.
After delivering the car, Host claimed II caused the damage through impact and I had to pay more than $1500 for something I had not caused. What kind of impact would cause rear spoiler connections to deteriorate without any other external sign of impact? It was clearly a maintenance problem of a 10 year old car and I was the unlucky person to have the piece fall during my rental.
Turo "investigation" consisted of having the repair estimate sent to me. No explanation about anything or why they were charging me.
I always had great experiences with Turo, but this was a wake up call and my last trip through this company. I am closing my account after this. I realized that it's very easy to blame users for pre existing maintenance problems, I don't trust Turo to make an unbiased decision and I am making sure anyone I know will know about my experience.

Thank you for your feedback. The safety of my guests is always my absolute priority. Following this trip, an official and independent structural inspection by Turo confirmed that the panel's hooks were broken by a recent external force, rather than wear and tear. The vehicle was immediately repaired to the highest safety standards and is perfectly ready for future trips.
