Truck showed up with a cracked windshield, broke toneau cover, and tire sensor on. When we were most the way to our destination of 4 hrs away, it started raining and we started hydroplaning. We stopped and notice the tires were bald. When we told the owner, he told me I was giving him a headache, ‘not mechanic,’ exaggerating and that my family and I would be ‘just fine’ if we just drove in 4 wheel drive for the whole week. My options with Turo were to pay have the vehicle towed back and be car less, or replace the tires and hope the owner would reimburse me. We parked the truck for the week and used the bus system and friends for transportation. Worst experience with a human being and company.

Julie is not honest. The guest rented the truck on a bad weather day, snowing and later rainy. There was advisory warning for drivers not to drive during bad weather conditions. She has other ulterior motive, I think to steal the vehicle. She is from the States. She mentioned she will take the truck to a mechanic and don't think the mechanic will release it back. She claimed money to tow back the vehicle, however she and male partner drove the vehicle back themselves. Vehicle passed inspection.

The pickup was very well maintained—clean, good mileage, and ready on time in excellent condition. Everything with the host was smooth and professional, and they were very helpful throughout the process.
The only challenge I faced wasn’t with the host but with Turo’s system. On my way back to Edmonton, my father (traveling in another vehicle) had a tire blowout in a remote area, which caused a 3–4 hour delay. Unfortunately, even an extra hour on the booking showed a charge of $270. I understand policies are important, but in rare cases of genuine emergencies, a little flexibility would go a long way.
Overall, the host was amazing and the vehicle was excellent—my concern is only with Turo’s rigid structure, not with the host.

Everything was great! Definitely recommend. It was a smooth drop off and pick up. Everything worked out for our trip to BC
