Tesla Model Y 2022

The rental went super smoothly. The Tesla was clean, well maintained, and a real joy to drive . But what truly made the experience exceptional was the host. From beginning to end, he was kind, responsive, and incredibly helpful. He went out of his way to make sure everything went well. At one point during the trip, my Supercharger card stopped working, and we were stuck . He immediately stepped in to help and made sure we could keep going. That kind of support is rare, and honestly, priceless. It really felt like we weren’t just renting a car — we had someone in our corner the whole way. I’d 100% recommend booking this Tesla, not only for the car itself, but for the peace of mind that comes with an amazing host .

Exploring Ottawa and Gatineau's top attractions from the airport

The National Capital Region offers an incredible variety of experiences, from world-class museums and government buildings to pristine parks and charming neighbourhoods. You can easily reach Parliament Hill, the Canadian Museum of History, and the vibrant ByWard Market, each offering unique insights into Canadian culture and history. Gatineau Park provides year-round outdoor recreation, while the Rideau Canal offers scenic waterfront drives. An SUV enhances your exploration with comfortable seating and excellent visibility, making it easy to navigate between attractions while enjoying panoramic views of the Ottawa River and surrounding landscapes.

Parliament Hill and downtown Ottawa's political heart

Parliament Hill stands as Canada's most recognisable landmark, featuring stunning Gothic Revival architecture and offering guided tours of the nation's seat of government. The surrounding downtown core buzzes with activity, from the historic ByWard Market to the National Gallery of Canada. Parking is available in nearby structures, though spaces fill quickly during peak tourist seasons. The elevated driving position of an SUV provides excellent views of the parliamentary buildings and Ottawa River as you navigate the area's tree-lined streets, making your approach to this iconic destination even more memorable.

Canadian Museum of History in Gatineau

Located directly across the Ottawa River in Gatineau, this world-renowned museum houses Canada's largest collection of historical artifacts and offers breathtaking views of Parliament Hill from its windows. The museum's distinctive curved architecture makes it easily recognisable from the road. Ample parking is available on-site, and the facility is well-connected to major routes. The spacious interior and comfortable ride of your rental SUV ensures a pleasant journey as you cross between provinces to explore this cultural treasure.

Gatineau Park's natural wilderness and scenic drives

Just minutes from the airport, Gatineau Park encompasses over 360 square kilometres of pristine Canadian Shield landscape, featuring hiking trails, lakes, and scenic lookouts. The park offers numerous access points and well-maintained roads that wind through dense forests and past crystal-clear lakes. During autumn, the foliage creates spectacular displays of red, orange, and gold. Your rental SUV's higher ground clearance and all-weather capability make it ideal for exploring the park's various entrances and reaching popular destinations like Pink Lake and Mackenzie King Estate, where you can enjoy nature while staying comfortable and secure.

Rideau Canal and historic waterway exploration

This UNESCO World Heritage Site stretches through the heart of Ottawa, offering scenic drives along its banks and access to charming locks and historic sites. The canal transforms seasonally, serving as a waterway in summer and the world's largest skating rink in winter. Multiple parking areas provide easy access to walking paths and viewpoints. The comfortable cabin of your rental SUV ensures you stay warm during winter visits while providing excellent visibility for spotting wildlife and enjoying the peaceful waterside scenery year-round.

ByWard Market's historic shopping and dining district

This vibrant neighbourhood represents one of Canada's oldest and largest public markets, featuring cobblestone streets lined with boutiques, restaurants, and outdoor vendors. The area comes alive with festivals and events throughout the year, from summer patios to winter celebrations.
