The car was in excellent condition and looked almost brand new. The pickup process was very simple and smooth, making the entire experience stress-free. The car was comfortable to drive, fuel-efficient, and performed great throughout our trip. The price was also very reasonable, which made the rental an even better value. Overall, everything exceeded our expectations. Definitely deserves 5 stars, and I would happily rent from this host again!

Great communication with Jonathan and Jase. Had a really enjoyable time in Nashville and these guys really looked out for me when I was in a bind. Long story short: One of the rental car companies attempted to scam me after I already had a paid reservation with them weeks earlier. The rest of the rental companies were either sold out or they were asking an absurd amount per day. I highly recommend this car and turo host if you need to get around Nashville!

I had an amazing experience renting from this host! After dealing with car trouble, I decided to rent instead of relying on Uber, and it was the best decision. I’ve rented two of his cars for long-term use, and both were spotless, well-maintained, and newer models. What really stood out were the weekly discounts, which made it so much easier to extend my rental until I got my own car. The host was also very communicative and easy to work with throughout the entire process. If you’re looking for a reliable ride or need something long term, this is definitely the host to go with. I highly recommend him to anyone , and I’ll be sending all my friends and family his way if they ever need a rental. Thank you, Nashville Car Rental, for your excellent service!

Robert was an exceptional host that went above and beyond in order to help me out with my first trip. The car itself is nothing fancy. There is no Bluetooth and not much else besides the air conditioning. The wheels are small which is not ideal for the poorly kept Tennessee roads. However, this was the best price rental car on the market that had solid reviews. You get what you pay for! Robert the host is quick to reply and will help out with anything. He's a solid guy.

He ensured we had the vehicle ready for when we arrived. Car was clean and in great shape! Very economic and reliable compact vehicle with ample space! And the price was super reasonable!! Rent with him for your car rental needs! You won't regret it! This is the vehicle you need!!

Wonderful! Easy to use. This host in particular is very nice and understanding. They worked with me when I became ill and could not return the vehicle at the designated time. Well worth using instead of the traditional car rental companies.

Top tips for renting a car in Nashville

Renting a car in Nashville is the easiest way to soak up everything this city has to offer. Whether you’re road-tripping to nearby attractions or exploring downtown Nashville, Turo’s got a car for you. With these top driving tips up your sleeve, you'll enjoy a stress-free car rental experience in Nashville.

How does airport pickup work at Nashville International Airport?

Picking up your Nashville Airport rental car is simple and stress-free with Turo. Forget about navigating a rental car facility with confusing paperwork. Your host will park the vehicle in one of the approved lots — Terminal Lot A, Economy Lot B, or Economy Lot C. Once you land, follow the airport signs to the ground transportation level, locate the parking lot, and find your rental car ready and waiting. Your host will leave a parking ticket in the car so you can exit the lot with ease.

Many Turo hosts offer contactless check-in, which means you can unlock the car remotely through the app and skip any face-to-face interaction. Whether you’re arriving late at night or just want a seamless pickup, Turo takes the hassle out of starting your Nashville adventure.

How does drop-off work at Nashville International Airport?

Dropping off your car rental at BNA is just as easy as picking it up. Return the vehicle to the same lot where you picked it up — Terminal Lot A, Economy Lot B, or Economy Lot C. Park the car in an available spot, pull a parking ticket at the entrance, and leave the ticket inside the car for your host.

Before leaving, make sure to message your host through the Turo app with the parking stall number and location. Some hosts provide a lockbox for the keys, or you can coordinate remote locking. It’s a quick and smooth process, so you can focus on catching your next flight without any stress.

How far is Nashville International Airport from Downtown Nashville?

Nashville Intl Airport is about 8 miles from the heart of downtown Nashville, so you’ll be hitting the city streets in about 15 to 20 minutes, depending on traffic. The most direct route is via I-40 West, but if you prefer a more scenic drive, take Elm Hill Pike to soak in some local vibes.

What are the road rules and driving conditions in Nashville?

Driving in Nashville is pretty straightforward, but here’s what you need to know to navigate like a pro. Speed limits vary from 25–35 miles per hour (mph) in urban areas to 55–70 mph on highways. Always wear your seatbelt and keep your cell phone hands-free while driving. Be mindful of pedestrians and scooters, especially in busy areas like Broadway and the Gulch. If you’re driving near schools, remember to stop at least 25 feet away from school buses with flashing red lights.

Traffic in Nashville can get hectic during rush hours (7–9 am and 4–6 pm), particularly on I-40, I-65, and I-24. If you’re exploring downtown, plan for congestion near tourist hotspots. Weather-wise, summers are hot and humid, while winters are mild, with occasional icy patches on elevated roads. Rain is frequent, so take it slow on slick streets and make sure to keep a good distance between you and the next car.

What is parking like in Nashville?

Parking in Nashville can be a mixed bag, but there are lots of options if you know where to look. Downtown has a mix of metered street parking and public garages. Popular spots like the Library Garage on 6th Ave N, Music City Center Garage on 5th Ave S, and Fifth + Broadway Garage near Broadway are great choices.

If you’re visiting the Gulch, check out the Pine Street Flats Garage, which is conveniently located near restaurants and shops. Suburban neighborhoods like East Nashville offer free parking, and you’ll often find more available spaces away from downtown’s hustle and bustle.

Are there toll roads in Nashville?

No tolls here! Drive freely through Nashville and its surroundings without worrying about extra fees.

Where can I find gas stations and EV chargers in Nashville?

Fuel up at gas stations along Murfreesboro Pike or Elm Hill Pike near BNA. If you’re driving an electric sedan, plug in at Music City Center or Green Hills Mall. Chargers are also scattered across downtown hotels like the Renaissance and Sheraton, and parking garages.

Do I need to rent a car in Nashville?

Definitely! Public transport is limited to buses, which can be slow and inconsistent, especially if you’re traveling beyond the downtown area. With a BNA car rental, Nashville airport is the perfect diving boarding if you want to experience the city and its surroundings fully.

A rental car offers the freedom to explore iconic landmarks like the Johnny Cash Museum, Grand Ole Opry, and Percy Warner Park on your own schedule. It’s also perfect for road trips to nearby destinations like Franklin, the Natchez Trace Parkway, or even the Jack Daniel’s Distillery.

What rental car types can I find on Turo in Nashville?

Nashville’s Turo hosts offer a wide range of vehicles to suit every traveler and trip type. If luxury is your style, choose a premium luxury SUV like the Cadillac Escalade or Mercedes-Benz GLE for maximum comfort. For eco-conscious drivers, Turo has electric options like the Tesla Model 3, Tesla Model Y, or Rivian R1S. Travelers looking for a sporty edge can opt for a performance car like the Ford Mustang or Chevrolet Corvette.

Families and groups will appreciate spacious luxury SUVs like the Jeep Grand Cherokee, while practical travelers might prefer midsize SUVs like the Honda CR-V or versatile pickup trucks like the Ford F-150. Compact cars like the Toyota Corolla are perfect for zipping around the city, while full-size luxury sedans like the BMW 5 Series are ideal for business trips or upscale outings.

No matter your needs, there’s a vehicle class waiting for you in Music City.

How much does it cost to rent a car in Nashville?

The cost of car rental in Nashville can vary depending on car type, booking length, extras, and delivery. For cheap car rentals in Nashville, look out for discounts on longer-duration bookings and early bookings.
