Mercury Comet 1963

Tom was absolutely phenomenal from start to finish. The Mercury Comet was beautiful, in amazing condition, and made my daughter’s prom night feel perfect. The pictures turned out incredible and this was truly the highlight of her experience because this was the one thing she really wanted. Tom was kind, professional, communicative, and made the entire process smooth and stress free. One thing I really appreciated was the detailed video he sent ahead of time showing us how to operate the vehicle. Since it’s a 1963 classic car and we aren’t familiar with older vehicles, that extra touch meant so much and helped us feel fully prepared and comfortable. You can tell he genuinely cares about his renters and takes pride in his vehicle. We are so grateful he’s on Turo and we will definitely be renting from him again. Highly recommend.

We used this car for our wedding get away, the host was amazing and very easy to work with. The car ran great all weekend without any issues, was spotless when we picked it up and ready for photos. It was perfect for our special day! Would highly recommend this car for special occasions, or a fun weekend.

A unique opportunity to rent the ICONIC Toyota Land Cruiser FJ40 that was imported from the Japanese market. The steering wheel is on the right side, so you’ll be shifting the 4-speed manual with your left hand. This dijon mustard Land Cruiser will get attention EVERYWHERE you go. The little diesel isn’t fast, so plan ahead and stick to the slow lane. What a joy to experience something most people have no access to. I will rent this again! Jonathan made the rental very easy and walked me through the features of the vehicle.

True 1986 driving experience! Glad the weather was in the 70s during my trip. Truly a car you rent if you’re trying to experience LA in a classic, manual, bare-bones car; I loved it. So nostalgic.

This is an amazingly fun automobile - but - do not rent it unless you're OK getting your photo taken. We were mobbed by photographers in Monaco, Eze and Cap Ferrat - the combination of the car and my stunningly beautiful wife. Arthur was tremendously helpful. Thank you! It's just terrific memories made.

These vintage vehicles complement the city's maritime heritage perfectly, making your journey through Nova Scotia's capital feel like a step back in time. Halifax's compact downtown core and well-preserved neighbourhoods provide ideal settings for showcasing these timeless automotive treasures.

What should I expect when driving a vintage vehicle?

Vintage vehicles typically feature manual transmissions, heavier steering, and unique handling characteristics that require a more engaged driving experience. Classic car rentals in Halifax often come with distinctive features like analogue gauges and period-appropriate interiors that enhance the nostalgic atmosphere. These dream cars demand gentle acceleration and mindful braking, making every drive through Nova Scotia's scenic routes a deliberate and memorable experience.

How do I safely park a classic car in Halifax?

Choose well-lit parking areas with ample space to avoid door dings, particularly around Halifax's popular attractions like the Maritime Museum and Citadel Hill. Classic rental cars benefit from covered parking when available, especially near the waterfront where salt air can affect vintage finishes. Always engage the parking brake fully and consider the vehicle's turning radius when manoeuvring in Halifax's historic downtown areas.

Classic car adventures from Halifax can include scenic coastal drives along the South Shore or trips to the Annapolis Valley's vineyards and orchards. These dream car rentals are well-suited for leisurely exploration of Nova Scotia's picturesque landscapes, from Peggy's Cove to the Bay of Fundy region. Summer months provide ideal conditions for vintage vehicle touring, with comfortable temperatures perfect for exploring Halifax's outdoor attractions and coastal drives. Winter storage is common for classic car collections, making spring through fall the prime seasons for these special rentals in Nova Scotia.
