LONG REVIEW!!!!!!!!! This is my second time renting a car through this app, and I must say, this experience has been by far the best. The first time, I rented a Jeep from another seller and it had several issues. The motor was problematic, and the car hood wasn’t properly secured—it kept popping open while driving, which was extremely dangerous. A friend of mine actually had his windshield shattered in a similar situation when the hood flipped over while driving a rented vehicle. But this time, the experience was smooth and stress-free. The seller was extremely courteous and readily available in case I had any questions. In fact, I saved his number just in case I ran into any issues. He went above and beyond by delivering the car a day before the actual rental start date. He even called me beforehand to confirm the drop-off time, asked about parking in my driveway, and let me know where he left the keys. Since the car is a hybrid, it took me a little while to figure out how everything worked. I had to do some research, but the seller provided clear, easy-to-follow, dummy-proof instructions to help me get started—this made the whole experience even better. Another huge plus: the car is great on gas. Although it requires 91 octane or higher (premium gas), which made my jaw drop at first due to the cost, I ended up saving money overall. I only spent about $30 to drive from Ottawa to Montreal, and another $30 to return from Montreal to Ottawa. That's incredibly fuel-efficient! You might hear some noises coming from the engine, but from what I’ve gathered, that’s normal for this type of hybrid vehicle—as long as you're using the correct fuel. This car was also great to drive at night. The parking lights, sidelights, and Bluetooth all worked perfectly—which was a big plus for me since I love listening to music on getaway trips. The emergency lights were functional, and I could easily adjust the rearview and side mirrors at the push of a button. As anyone who's driven in Montreal knows, finding parking can be a nightmare, but I was able to navigate and merge lanes with ease. The key fob was synced with the car, so I could access the trunk and doors effortlessly. I even made phone calls via Bluetooth without any issues. Given the road conditions in Montreal, the car held up solidly. Another cool feature: you don’t need to insert a physical key to start the engine. As long as the key fob is near the vehicle, you can unlock the doors and start the car with the push of a button—super convenient! Also, don’t panic if you see a light blinking on the dashboard about the pressur monitor system (TPMS). Watch YouTube videos and I recommend asking the host any questions or voicing concerns ahead of time to avoid any surprises. It’s important to ensure everything’s in good shape for the sake of your safety and the safety of the other drivers and, of course, for liability.
