Great van for a large group. Cleaned inside out and operated perfectly. David, the host, is also a pleasure to deal with. Definitely recommend him and his vehicle.

Everything went well, the car is very spacious, David took his time to explain its functions clearly, highly recommended!

I rented a van from David and had an excellent experience. The van was clean, well-maintained, and exactly as described in the listing. In fact a brand new one & I was lucky to be the first one. Pick-up and drop-off were smooth and hassle-free. Communication was quick, clear, and friendly throughout the trip. Highly recommend this host for anyone looking for a reliable vehicle and an stress-free rental experience.

Incredible drive. David is a super nice host and saved my family's trip with this last minute booking. I would recommend renting from him anytime! Ill definitely be a returning customer.
I recently rented a 9-seater Ford Transit from David, and I have to say, it was an amazing experience. The vehicle drives like a charm—I took it all the way to Quebec City, and it handled wonderfully despite its size. It’s super clean, very spacious, and I honestly have only good things to say. Plus, David himself is extremely flexible and easy to deal with. Overall, a fantastic rental experience—highly recommended!
We really enjoyed driving around with this 9 seater van especially that it has ample space for storage and comfortable searing with lots of leg room. David was really understanding and cooperative and quick in responding to our messages.

David is definitely a super host! Vehicle was very clean and pick up process was smooth. Looking forward to renting this Ford Transit again

Really nice car! It was super clean, great drive and is even bigger than the pictures. Also the host is great, very responsive. Totally recommend!
Ottawa offers Parliament Hill tours, ByWard Market shopping, and National Gallery visits that become easily accessible with your rental car. You can drive to Rideau Falls for scenic views, explore the Canadian Museum of History across the river, or venture to Dow's Lake for paddle boating. Having a rental van allows you to visit multiple attractions in one day, store purchases from local markets, and transport your group comfortably between downtown Ottawa sites and surrounding natural areas.
Parliament Hill stands as Ottawa's crown jewel, featuring Gothic Revival architecture and the iconic Peace Tower that dominates the city skyline. You'll find several parking options in the downtown area, though spaces fill quickly during summer months and special events. The rental van proves especially useful for groups visiting multiple government buildings, as you can easily transport everyone between the Supreme Court, Library and Archives Canada, and various departmental buildings throughout the parliamentary precinct.
ByWard Market buzzes with artisan vendors, local restaurants, and unique boutiques spread across several city blocks in Ottawa's oldest neighbourhood. Parking becomes more challenging in this cobblestone area, but nearby parkades accommodate larger vehicles like your rental van. You'll appreciate the extra cargo space when shopping for local crafts, fresh produce, and specialty foods that make perfect souvenirs from your Ottawa adventure.
Gatineau Park stretches across rolling hills and pristine lakes just minutes from downtown Ottawa, offering hiking trails, beaches, and scenic lookouts year-round. Your rental van handles the park's winding roads with ease while providing space for hiking gear, picnic supplies, and outdoor equipment. The park features multiple entry points and parking areas, making it simple to explore different sections during your visit to the Ottawa region.
You can reach Ottawa by flying into Macdonald-Cartier International Airport, taking VIA Rail trains from Toronto or Montreal, or driving via Highway 417 from eastern Ontario and Highway 416 from the south. The airport sits conveniently close to the city centre, while the train station provides downtown access. Major highways connect Ottawa to Kingston, Toronto, and Montreal, making road trips straightforward for visitors arriving by car.
Book your van rental early through Turo to secure the best vehicle options for your Ottawa trip, especially during festival seasons and winter months. Look for vans with features like all-wheel drive for Ontario weather conditions, heated seats for comfort, and ample cargo space for group travel or equipment transport. Consider extras like backup cameras for easier parking in downtown Ottawa, keyless entry for convenience, and pet-friendly options if you're travelling with animals during your minivan rental adventure.

Van rentals in Ottawa provide spacious transportation for large groups exploring Ontario's capital city and surrounding areas. Whether you're moving belongings around Ottawa or need a passenger van for family trips to nearby Kanata, vans offer superior cargo capacity and seating compared to standard vehicles. Ottawa van rental options accommodate everything from weekend getaways to extended stays in Ontario.
Driving a van requires adjusting to increased height and length compared to regular cars, especially when navigating Ottawa's downtown core or residential areas like Kanata. Vans typically have larger blind spots and require more space for turning and parking throughout Ontario. Most van rental options in Ottawa feature power steering and automatic transmissions to help manage the vehicle's size during your travels.
When parking your rental van in Ottawa's busy areas, use your mirrors extensively and take your time manoeuvring into spaces. Look for larger parking spots at shopping centres or choose street parking with ample room rather than attempting tight fits in downtown Ottawa. Practice reversing in open areas around Ontario before tackling challenging parking situations during your rental period.
Passenger van rentals work best for families and groups prioritising seating capacity for trips around Ottawa and Ontario destinations. Cargo vans serve better when you need maximum storage space for moving or transporting equipment throughout the Ottawa area. Consider your primary needs — whether it's comfortable seating for passengers or cargo space — when selecting van rental in Ottawa.
Adjust your van's seat position properly and use lumbar support for extended drives through Ontario's scenic routes from Ottawa. Plan regular stops to stretch and move around, especially when travelling to destinations like Kingston or other Ontario cities. Ensure proper ventilation and temperature control in your rental van to maintain comfort during longer journeys from Ottawa.
Modern van rentals in Ottawa typically include anti-lock brakes, stability control, and multiple airbags for passenger protection. Check that all passengers use seatbelts properly, as vans can handle differently than smaller vehicles on Ontario roads. Familiarise yourself with your van's backup camera and parking sensors before driving through Ottawa's varied traffic conditions and tight residential streets.
