I wouldn’t recommend renting from this host.
My flight was cancelled, and I notified them within about two hours. Despite the circumstances, they refused to refund the first day of my booking and repeatedly told me there was nothing they could do. In the end, I received a refund of only $1.34.
Later in the trip, I asked if I could return the car about 30 minutes earlier. I wasn’t asking for a refund or any compensation—I was simply trying to accommodate my schedule. They declined, saying they needed two people available for the pickup that morning, and told me I would have to pay for parking if I returned it early. Ironically, they ended up arriving about five minutes after my scheduled return time, so I had to pay for parking anyway.
When I first arrived, my luggage had been delayed. They called me and came across as impatient, seemingly because they didn’t want to pay for additional parking. Similar to what other reviewers have mentioned, they also dropped the car off before I arrived and left.
Overall, I found the host to be inflexible and unwilling to make reasonable accommodations when unexpected travel issues arose. My experience left me feeling that customer service was not a priority and that the focus was primarily on maximizing revenue rather than helping customers.

Unfortunately, this was a disappointing Turo experience overall.
The biggest issue was that the pickup photos uploaded before delivery did not accurately reflect the actual condition of the Tacoma when we received it. The host later confirmed that damage on the passenger-side step had been caused by a previous guest, but this was not documented ahead of pickup.
We also experienced an unexpected battery failure during the trip after the truck had been parked for only a couple hours with no lights or accessories left on. After jump starting the vehicle, multiple warning lights and system malfunction messages appeared on the dashboard advising service at a dealer. That created a lot of stress during the final part of our trip.
The brakes were also extremely squeaky from day one and did not feel particularly confidence inspiring.
On top of that, the customer service experience during pickup and drop-off was poor. Communication felt rushed and unnecessarily stressful, and it was difficult to properly inspect and photograph the vehicle during the airport handoff process.
I will say the host did confirm the pre-existing side-step damage was not caused by us, which I appreciate. But overall, the vehicle condition, documentation issues, and customer service made this a frustrating rental experience.
