We chose this Model X expecting a premium experience consistent with its current rating, but that wasn’t our experience.
From the start, the vehicle showed clear signs of wear. The brakes produced a grinding noise during normal driving, the suspension squeaked over regular road conditions, and the windshield wipers were worn to the point that visibility in the rain was compromised. Overall, it did not feel like a vehicle that’s being maintained to a high standard.
Battery performance was also underwhelming. We found ourselves needing to charge daily despite driving less than 100 km per day, which was inconvenient and unexpected. In addition, key Tesla features that influenced our decision to book were not usable - Full Self Driving was unavailable, and the autopilot/camera functions were mostly disengaged throughout the trip, including parking sensors.
There was also a strong cigarette odour in the vehicle that was present upon pickup and persisted for the duration of the rental. We ended up purchasing air fresheners just to make the interior tolerable.
Based on our experience, the condition and functionality of this vehicle did not align with what we expected from the listing or its current reviews. If we had known the actual condition of the vehicle beforehand, we would have made a different choice.
I’m really sorry for your bad experience with my car. It actually just got back to me from a 1-month trip and last guest retuned just the night before your trip day. So I did clean up and prepare for your trip as usual but honestly I did not have enough time to check on other bad things that you complained and therefore I did not notice such issues. I will definitely check and fix all that. I really wish you could have given me a chance instead of giving me 2-star 😣
