First time renting a car through Turo, and it was a great experience.
Matt responded very quickly to my messages. I hadn’t received the pickup instructions and had an early morning departure, so I was starting to get pretty stressed. Thankfully, he replied quickly and got everything sorted.
The car doesn’t play music through Bluetooth, but it does through USB so bring your charging cable.
I also skipped Turo’s protection plan. I called ICBC beforehand and was able to extend my own car insurance (roadside) to cover the rental for about $20 for the entire year, compared with $20 per day through Turo.
If you’re renting through Turo in BC, I highly recommend calling your insurance company first—it could save you a lot of money. :)
