Toyota Grand Highlander

Afsha was a great host and kept the communication clear, he kept the checkout and check-in process easy and straight-forward. The Highlander I rented was excellent in carrying 8 passengers (with light luggage and car seat) in comfort for a road trip, I was very happy with the car. Unfortunately it does have some scratches/dings from previous renters but you as with the Turo guidelines you have to note all blemishes on the vehicle before accepting it during check out. Will definitely rent this vehicle again if I need a comfortable 8 seater.

Absolute nightmare – avoid if you value your time and peace of mind.

We booked this car expecting a nearly new vehicle in excellent condition. Instead, we were handed a car covered in scratches and paint damage. To make matters worse, the car wasn't even parked in the correct bay, and communication from the host was poor right from the start. It was an incredibly frustrating beginning to what was supposed to be a relaxing holiday. We decided to overlook these issues so they wouldn't ruin our trip.

Unfortunately, the return process was even worse. We had agreed that the host would collect the car at 2:30 pm because we had a 4:30 pm flight. Instead, we were left waiting for almost an hour while repeatedly being told, "I'll be there in another 10 minutes." When he finally arrived at the airport, he went to the arrivals area while we were waiting at departures, forcing us to leave the airport and drive back 10kms because security would not allow us to remain where we were.

The host thoroughly inspected the car in my presence before accepting it back. I also uploaded 62 photos showing the vehicle's condition at the time of return, which matched the condition in which it was handed over to us. Despite this, after the rental ended, a damage claim was filed against me and I am now being asked to pay for alleged damage.

Based on my experience, I would strongly recommend avoiding this rental. Even if the price seems attractive, the stress, poor communication, disorganised handover and return process, and the subsequent damage claim made the entire experience extremely disappointing. I would not rent from this host again.
