My experience with this host was very unpleasant. The host communicated in an aggressive and disrespectful tone, which made the situation stressful and uncomfortable.
After I picked up the vehicle, the host added new rules that were not mentioned in the listing. These rules were unreasonable for some renters, caused inconvenience, wasted time, and could have led to extra costs. I called Turo to ask about these rules, and they confirmed that the rules were not part of Turo’s policy and that I was not required to follow them.
Additionally, the host remotely controlled the vehicle’s settings while it was under my possession, which goes against Turo’s policy and affected my ability to use the car properly. The host also refused to cooperate when I requested tire assistance.
I stayed polite and followed Turo’s procedures throughout the trip. I’m sharing this feedback to help protect other guests and promote a fair and respectful experience on the Turo platform.
I have hosted many trips and have never had issues with a guest before this. Check my reviews. There were no extra rules added after pickup. Proper charging guidelines are listed in the FAQ section of the listing, they were communicated in an automated mssg before pick-up, and were also given verbally at the time of pickup. My tone was never aggressive. I was helpful and offered solutions. I was also flexible with setting a date for changing to winter tires mid trip. This guest was a nightmare.
