The car itself drove fine, but the host tried cancelling via text message on the morning of, which caused unnecessary stress before a family road trip. He messaged outside of the app, asking me to cancel (to avoid him being penalized) because he thought he needed the car for his own family trip. After many back and forths with him and turo customer service, he eventually abided by the agreement and I got the car. Car was also not even quick vacuumed or cleaned for me. I found other people's receipts from weeks earlier and general dirt and crumbs.
Again, the car itself drove fine, and the price was decent, but I would have paid more to avoid the stress and hassle of dealing with his request for me to cancel. It is also shady to message me outside of the app (and against turo host agreements) so that turo cannot see what he's saying.
