The car at first was great. Was able to drive it for 45 mins. After that it just stopped working it did not turn on after having it parked. Contacted Simon and he had no answers as to why it was like this. Told me just to contact Turo and have them help me.

I spent 30 mins in the phone with Turo support and about 1 hour and 30mins waiting for the tow truck company to help me with the situation. The technician was unable to resolve why it’s not turning on. He even tried to jump start the battery but that didn’t work and resorted in towing the car back to Simon’s original pick up location. This took another 1 hour.

My plans for that day went downhill resulting in cancellations of 2 reservations not including this rental. I was left trying to find a new rental on my own. Only compensation was a full refund which I had to again contact Turo for myself. No help on Simon’s end. Safe to say my first experience with Turo was terrible. Thought that choosing a vehicle with someone rated 5 stars on the app would have been smooth but clearly wasn’t.

When you returned the vehicle, we carried out a full inspection, confirmed there were no issues, and provided you with photos and video documentation.
In fact, this situation could have been completely avoided if the vehicle operation guide (we post on Turo)had been reviewed prior to use.
Please do not use electrical devices when the vehicle is not running!
Anyway we will doing better.
