Car’s battery stopped on first day of our trip, had to be boosted by host’s friend but took 2 hrs for him to arrive late night. Host was out of province and did not respond promptly to messages. No CAA available. Once boosted, car engine light came on so we decided to cancel our trip and request a refund.
Xavier, I’m sorry your trip was interrupted. The battery issue was unexpected, and as soon as I was made aware, I arranged for someone local to assist since I was out of province. When the check engine light appeared, we agreed the safest course was to cancel the trip, and I worked with Turo to ensure you received a full refund. While mechanical issues can occur unexpectedly, the vehicle was repaired immediately, and reliability remains a top priority.
