One suggestion would be to consider using a lock box for key pickup and return, which could make the process a little more convenient and flexible for both the host and guests. The check engine light was on when we first picked up the car and he had it run through a mechanic to be sure everything was good, the car ran great.
A lock box for key drop off would be a good idea to ensure everything is safe when returning the car.
