Very very accommodating. Host was great!!!

Very disappointing host. We rented his car for a 5-day trip. He mentioned that the car had a flat tire earlier but said it had been fixed. However, throughout our trip, the tire kept losing air, and we had to stop frequently to refill it.

We informed the host about the issue, and he asked us to get it repaired, saying he would reimburse us later. Unfortunately, we were in a remote area over the weekend, where there were no proper repair shops available. We bought a puncture repair kit and tried fixing it ourselves, but it didn’t solve the problem.

On the third day of our trip, we finally found a repair shop. Since we didn’t have an appointment, we were without the car for half a day while it was being repaired. We had already purchased Banff passes, and some of the attractions required timed entry. Because of this delay, we missed two of the attractions we had planned to visit. What should have been a relaxing vacation turned into a stressful experience.

To make matters worse, we had little to no phone signal during the first three days while traveling around Valemount and Jasper, making it difficult to communicate with the host or get assistance.

After the trip, the host refused to reimburse us for the puncture repair kit and the air refills because we didn’t have receipts. The puncture repair kit was still in the car, but he still declined to cover the cost. We were rushing to catch our flight, so we couldn’t spend more time arguing. We later contacted Turo Support, and they helped resolve the situation.

The car was also displaying a maintenance warning during the trip. Imagine if it had broken down in an area with no phone reception.

Please think twice before booking with this host. If you end up paying for anything during your trip, make sure to keep every receipt—even for a $2 purchase.
