The vehicle was clean and well maintained, but our experience with the host was very disappointing. We paid $153 CAD for the airport pickup and drop-off fee through Turo, expecting to receive the car at the airport. Instead, when the host arrived at the airport, he told us to get in and drove us to a nearby gas station to complete the handoff. We found this very strange and it completely defeated the purpose of paying for airport pickup.
The communication throughout the trip was poor and confusing. For the return, the drop-off instructions were unclear, which caused delays and resulted in us leaving our baggage at the airport while trying to catch our flight. If we had not had friends nearby to help, we could have ended up missing our flight or losing access to our luggage.
Overall, we paid for airport pickup and drop-off but did not actually receive that service. The unnecessary involvement of the host, lack of privacy, and poor communication made this a frustrating experience that we would not recommend.
Unorganized and not punctual guest. The guest had a flight departure within one hour and was rushing to boarding, leaving no proper time for the vehicle handover process. Good trip planning and allowing enough time for pickup/drop-off are important. Unfortunately, the guest’s lack of preparation resulted in issues, and instead of taking responsibility, they attempted to blame others
