Overall, the trip was manageable, but disappointing due to serious vehicle issues.
From day one, the car had an air conditioning problem, which made long drives very uncomfortable. There was also a concerning issue with the rear right wheel/brake area, as it made unusual noise while braking at lower speeds.
I contacted both Turo and the host right away. Turo’s response was not very helpful. The host was responsive and offered to let me return the car, which I appreciate. However, since I was already on my trip and had no practical alternative, returning it was not realistic.
I had to continue the trip without proper air conditioning and with concerns about the brake issue. I believe better vehicle inspection from both the host and Turo would help prevent situations like this.
