Awesome host awesome vehicle

Great experience renting this car! The price was very reasonable, the car was clean and comfortable, and everything went smoothly from pickup to return. Would definitely rent again.

We had a great experience with the Jeep Wrangler during our trip to the Canadian Rockies. The drive was smooth and comfortable, even on snowy mountain roads. It handled winter conditions really well and made our snowboarding trip even more enjoyable. There was plenty of space for our gear, and the vehicle performed perfectly throughout the trip.

Our host Karla was very friendly, responsive, and always on time, which made the whole experience easy and stress-free. Highly recommend!

Great car and host

LEFT OUT IN THE COLD.

This was the most awkward Turo experience I have ever had or ever heard of. Most hosts provide clean, clear instructions to access the vehicle. In every other case, the host parked their vehicle at airport parking where it was accessible by a short walk or by courtesy shuttle, and provided a key code to access the key.

This host does not know how to operate Turo effectively, and seems totally indifferent to their paying customers.

I booked this Jeep by searching "Calgary International Airport", filtered by "Jeep", and selected this nice Willy's. It gave the customary notice that pickup details 24 hours beforehand.

Prior to boarding my flight, I checked the Turo app and found that the pickup location was available; it was not near the airport, it was in a gas station parking lot some 15-20 minutes from the airport. I contacted the host and asked for clarification on how I was supposed to access the vehicle. The host responded quickly (+1 star) and explained I needed to switch the pickup location in the app; the app indicated the host wanted an additional +$200!! I said I would not pay extra, and the host responded I would need to provide my own transportation to the car.

I found a ride service and paid for my trip across town to where the car was located. I communicated with the hosts to let them know I was coming. Just as we pulled up next to the Jeep, the host began to drive away! I waved and fortunately she stopped.

The host commented that she thought the strange pickup location was a "platform problem" and suggested I must have selected one of their other pickup locations. I told her there were no other pickup locations to select from. She became defensive, but admitted she didn't know what the booking experience looked like through the app. I didn't want to escalate the interaction into a further conflict and said I respectfully disagree.

The Jeep was clean and performed flawlessly on the icy roads. +1 more star.

The host contacted me a day later indicating I could change the drop-off location; I verified it was still $200+ and decided against it.

When I returned the vehicle to the same random retail parking lot, I arrived at 5:50 AM (10 minutes early) and began checking out and taking pictures. The host arrived 5 minutes later and stood by quietly while I took the last few photos. I said, "hello," and gave her the key.

"You can wait in that gas station, if you want," she said.

I said thank you and walked away.

I went back to the Turo app and found the same Jeep at the same airport pickup location. There was no way to change the pickup location at the time of booking, the only choice available was the airport. This left me feeling nauseated by the obviously indifferent host.

Nice Jeep, but not worth the bad management by the host.
