I appreciated the service from the host. They were very responsive and accommodating.
I would have preferred a full tank of gas when it was dropped off (7/8th) because when I went to full it up, I wasnt going to try and get it back to the exact same level it was when I got it.
Also, the windshield was badly cracked from side to side and had atleast 6 stone chips. Nothing obscured my view but I felt that windshield is long overdue to be replaced.

Communication and pick up were efficient and the vehicle was as expected other than a maintenance issue. I was wondering why there was a mobile air pump in the center console. It turns out there was a leak in the driver side, rear tire. It was very inconvenient and time consuming to fill the tire w air each morning and sometimes multiple times a day. That revealed a fairly large concern - both rear tires were at the wear bars - indicating the tires should have been replaced, prior to our rental. This was especially disappointing considering part of the reason for procuring a large, four wheel drive vehicle was because we were driving in the mountains/skiing and traction was of utmost importance.

Using the pump revealed a minor concern in that the USB port 2 didn’t seem to work. We tried different cords as well as the ones provided and could not get it to work which made it difficult to charge phones and the pump at the same time.

Overall, the car and the rental process were great. The vehicle is very comfortable, spacious, and enjoyable to drive. The booking, pickup, and return were all smooth, and the host was professional and easy to communicate with. I am keeping a 5-star rating because the experience overall was positive.

However, I would strongly recommend checking the tires. The vehicle is currently equipped with all-season tires that appear to be in poor condition. During heavy snowfall, the car had very little traction and braking performance was significantly reduced. Over three days of driving in snow, I had several close calls because the vehicle struggled to stop properly. Given that this is Calgary and winter conditions are common, I believe this is an important safety concern, especially considering the weight of the vehicle.

Please consider replacing the tires for safety reasons.
