Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this rental. During our trip, my daughter’s rear seatbelt came apart while she was wearing it. We discovered it had been completely severed and joined together with electrical tape, making it appear functional.
We later found a pre-trip photo showing the seatbelt was already severed before our rental began. We were never informed of the damage prior to taking possession of the vehicle and had to spend part of our vacation at Honda having the seatbelt replaced in order to continue with our trip.
The host is friendly and seems like a nice guy, and he was responsive when the issue came up. Unfortunately, I can’t overlook the seriousness of the safety issue we experienced. He continued to be responsive once the issue was discovered and did cover the cost of replacing the seatbelt and breakfast for my family. However, a vehicle should never be provided to a family with a completely severed seatbelt that had been taped together to appear functional.
Thankfully my daughter was not hurt, but this was an extremely serious safety issue.
