EVERYONE SHOULD READ THIS REVIEW BEFORE RENTING FROM THIS OWNER:
- DO NOT RENT FROM HIM, THIS OWNERS BEHAVIOUR IS SELFISH, RUDE AND WILL ONLY BRING YOU HEADACHES
- car was not given to us in a fully clean condition on the inside
- we rented the car may 22-25, mind you it had stopped snowing and the cold weather had disappeared for the last month but he still had winter tires on the car, this is important for later***
- we had a flat tire north of Toronto at 11pm at night in a very remote area and upon trying to get the spare tire, we realized there was none.
- I called the owner and he didn’t even know where the jack was and then he didn’t know where the spare tire was, and then after us figuring it out where the spare is, there was no spare which we discovered 30 minutes later
- there is no description of there being no spare in the car which should absolutely be necessary and is a key safety issue for any renters
- when renting vehicles it is common sense for the user to assume that there is a spare tire in the vehicle but there wasn’t
- So now we are stuck in the middle of no where with no spare tire, have to order a taxi to the nearest motel, order CAA to tow the car to a mechanic and when speaking to the owner he did not take any responsibility for the spare tire
- He in fact did not even respond to my messages about the spare tire until I called him the next day
- Now not having a spare tire is inexcusable and on top of that he did not want to split or compensate us for it claiming the new tire free of cost
- Additionally he did not feel any remorse for not even having a spare or knowing there was no spare therefore displaying no safety check and due diligence on his own vehicle and blamed it on us
- The grip of the tires was also bad because winter tires are meant for the winter and his excuse was that it still rains out so no need for summer tires
- After that he did not bother to check up on anything and just said go talk to turo not me
- DO NOT RENT FROM HIM, THIS OWNERS BEHAVIOUR IS SELFISH, RUDE AND WILL ONLY BRING YOU HEADACHES, THANKFULLY NO ONE WAS HURT AS THE CAR TIRE POPPED AT 100KM/H
