The car pickup was easy and smooth. The car worked great for our family trip (4 adults and 3 kids). It was great on gas. It is an older vehicle but we had no problems with its condition, it has been very well kept over the years. The owner was willing to help us if we needed and was easy to connect to. I would rent this car again, as the value was great, and therefore I am giving a 5 star review.

I would not rent this vehicle again. The car appeared to be held together with zip ties in multiple areas, which immediately raised concerns about its condition and maintenance. There was also a noticeable noise coming from the rear of the vehicle while driving on the highway.
The biggest issue was the battery. Within the first hour of having the car, it died twice and needed to be jumpstarted each time the vehicle was turned off. When I contacted the owner, I was told the battery just needed to be “rebooted” and that it should be fine afterward. I was not comfortable driving 2.5 hours away for a camping trip in a vehicle that could not reliably start.
The owner also tried to claim the car was fine when we picked it up, but having to jumpstart it twice within an hour says otherwise. Unfortunately, this situation wasted a large part of our morning and delayed our camping trip significantly while we scrambled to make other arrangements.
Overall, this was a very frustrating and disappointing experience. This owner should not be allowed to rent on Turo.
We take guest safety seriously, so the vehicle was inspected immediately after return. Despite the claims in this review, the guest drove the vehicle back without towing or roadside assistance, and no battery or mechanical issues were found afterward.
The vehicle is regularly maintained and continues to operate without issues. We do not agree with the inaccurate statement made in this review, including the request for a full refund after the trip was completed.
