“Vehicle owners who sign on are protected by the company’s commercial insurance policy, while [guests] have access to Turo’s 24/7 roadside assistance and customer support.”
“The commercial policy kicks in from the moment the car owner sets out to deliver his or her vehicle to the [guest] (if they chose to do so) to the end of the trip. Whenever the car isn’t being used via Turo, it is covered by the owner’s regular insurance company.”
“(...) its coverage protects against physical damage up to the full value of the car, its hosts pay no deductible, and the platform’s coverage doesn’t affect their personal insurance premiums.”
“I am very satisfied with the claim resolution process from Turo’s end. The agent I spoke [to] when the incident happened was friendly and knowledgeable. Guided me to the right resources (...) about how to file a claim. The claim process was straightforward”.

If your vehicle gets damaged during a trip, simply notify Turo, providing pre- and post-trip photos within 24 hours of the end of the trip. It’s important to take photos before and after each trip to document the vehicle’s condition.***
A Turo associate will reach out within one to three days and guide you through the rest of the process. Turo will reimburse the repair costs for eligible physical damage.*
