Everyone at AutoFlow was incredibly friendly, helpful, and easy to deal with. Overall, I had a great experience, but there were two issues that I think are worth mentioning.
The first issue involves the vehicle access system. AutoFlow uses ChargeKey as the only key for the car, which caused a significant problem during my trip. I parked at Metropolis at Metrotown, where cellular service is already poor, especially in the underground parking garage. Because ChargeKey requires a connection, I was unable to unlock the car for about 30 minutes and was effectively stranded until I could get enough signal. AutoFlow does not provide a physical Tesla key card as a backup, which I believe is a major oversight. This could become an even bigger problem for anyone taking the vehicle camping or travelling to remote areas with little or no cell service. Without a backup key, there is a real risk of being unable to unlock or start the vehicle.
The second issue was that the car seemed to roll backward slightly when stopped on an incline at traffic lights. I'm not sure whether this was due to a vehicle setting or driver-assistance configuration, but it was unexpected and a little unsettling.
Aside from these two concerns, I genuinely enjoyed my experience with AutoFlow. The staff were excellent, the process was straightforward, and the vehicle itself was great. If AutoFlow could address these issues particularly by providing a backup Tesla key card it would make the experience even better.
