Starting with the good - the car itself was absolutely perfect for what we were doing, driving to my brother's wedding in Tofino. One tank of gas got us there and back, and filling it was under $50 at the airport. Extremely comfortable and smooth drive the whole way, absolutely no issues with the car at all. The hosts were also very quick to respond as well.
Then the bad - after confirming the pick-up time, several times, they were still 30 minutes late and we ended up missing our ferry as a result. In their defense, our arriving flight was also delayed by an hour, but we confirmed this with them hours in advance, to which they replied "Perfect". We ended up arriving at our cottage after midnight instead of 5:30pm. Upon retuning, after confirming the drop off time, several times, they also informed us that they will be half an hour late again, once we had already parked in the drop off spot.
It's unfortunate because lack of communication isn't the issue - they were very responsive throughout the whole trip. If the hosts were able to polish up their time management skills, this would have been an easy 5 stars.
