Gabriel was fantastic to work with, and we loooooved the car! We rented the car for 11 days and thoroughly enjoyed driving with the top down through the mountains. The car handles great, accelerates great, and the top is quick to pop up and down depending upon weather. We were able to easily fit a large checked bag (backseat), a carry-on, two backpacks, and groceries. Plus two adults. Gabriel’s car was much more fun than the average convertibles rented by traditional car rental agencies and an only fraction of the cost. Thank you, Gabriel!

Overall, I had a great experience with the rental car. The car was clean, comfortable, and drove well. My only issue was that it didn’t come with a cable for Apple CarPlay, which is needed for newer iPhones. Other than that, everything was great!

Keeping your tank at least half full is a good practice when exploring the Quebec countryside in your rental car.

What are some key differences between driving in rural Quebec versus urban areas?

Driving in rural Quebec differs significantly from urban areas, impacting your rental car experience. Rural roads often have lower speed limits and may be less maintained, requiring more cautious driving. Wildlife crossings are more common, so stay alert, especially during dawn and dusk. Gas stations can be farther apart, so keep your rental car's tank filled. In contrast, urban areas like Montreal have higher traffic volumes, more complex road systems, and stricter parking regulations. Rural areas may have limited cell phone coverage, while cities offer better connectivity. Winter driving conditions can be more challenging in rural areas with less frequent snow removal. Urban driving often involves navigating one-way streets and dealing with rush hour traffic. Regardless of the setting, always adhere to local traffic laws and adjust your driving style accordingly to ensure a safe and enjoyable journey in your rental car.
