Nissan Altima

We had booked the vehicle for our trip. Upon inspecting the vehicle, the car registration was expired that was in the vehicle. We contacted the host and he provided an active car registration. However, the engine light was on, so we returned the key as we did not feel safe taking the vehicle on a 3 day trip. Then booked a different vehicle with Turo. We contacted Turo but their customer support was not helpful for a resolution. As they were still wanting to charge us for a trip we had never taken with this vehicle. This was not a pleasant way to begin our vacation. We attempted to speak to the host but received no message or call back.

The pickup and drop-off were easy. However, the car had mechanical issues. The check engine light and the stability control light were on. I asked for a replacement, but I noticed a problem with the transmission slipping. He promised to fix it, but he never returned. I had to cancel some long-distance driving plans because of the car’s condition.

Car pickup was fast and the host (Mehdi) was present there to show me the car. Car was clean. Mehdi was a very nice person and responsive host.

Car was clean and very economical, Mehdi is charging great price but my car has few issues and communication was a disaster.
Car cruise control does not work.
Car won’t accelerate beyond 120 and some time won’t accelerate at all, RPM needle won’t move beyond 3.
Air condition was on and off, work perfectly fine initially when you turn it on but after an hour or so, it goes off and even fan get very slow.
Drop off was a disaster, no instructions were provided and no one was at drop off location to take car keys, when I tried to contact, no one will pickup my call.
Acceleration problem is safety hazard and could be dangerous on longer trips, I hope he will fix it.
