I received the car in a clean condition, but I had some concerns about its overall condition. There were unusual sounds coming from the engine and the running components, which made the driving experience feel less safe and below my expectations.
I also experienced a scheduling issue at drop-off. I originally had the car until 8 PM, but the host asked me to return it at 9 PM due to availability. Selecting 9 PM in the app would have added an extra full day of charges, so I had to adjust my plans and return the car much earlier, around 1 PM.
Regarding the fuel level: I was very careful to bring the car back at the same line on the gauge as when I picked it up. However, the host evaluated the fuel level based on whether the needle sat slightly above or slightly below that line and charged an extra fee for what I believe was a minimal difference. From my perspective the levels looked the same, but the host interpreted it differently. The amount itself was not the issue; it simply felt like an overly sensitive assessment.
Overall, while the rental was manageable, the vehicle’s condition and some parts of the communication and evaluation process could have been handled with more care.
I’m shocked. This review is a retaliatory fabrication. You expressed complete satisfaction until a Turo-approved gas invoice was processed. The negative claims about the car's condition were invented afterward and are directly contradicted by your earlier statements when you dropped the car. This is not a genuine review.
