I rarely leave negative reviews, and I’m generally a very easy-going person who tries to be respectful and get along with everyone. In fact, despite some issues during this trip, I was still willing to leave a positive review and move on. Unfortunately, what happened after the trip changed that.
The problems started on day one when I noticed the vehicle registration had already expired. I had to bring it to the host’s attention myself, and instead of acknowledging the issue right away, he initially denied there was a problem. The registration was eventually renewed, but I then had to make another trip the next day just to collect the updated documents.
Communication throughout the rental was frustrating. Responses were often slow, and whenever I raised concerns, the host came across as rude, unhelpful, and unwilling to work with me.
Partway through the trip, I wanted to return the vehicle early. One reason was the limited kilometre allowance. I was willing to pay for extra kilometres, but at $0.46/km the cost was adding up quickly, so I politely asked whether there was any flexibility. The answer was no. At one point, the host told me, “Sir ur trip ends on 21, i cant loose 1 days of revenue, if u just want to drop off you can but I am not loosing 10 days of revenue.” As a result, I had to find a return date that gave me no refund at all. I ended up returning the vehicle on June 13 and actually paid more to modify the trip. At that point, I simply wanted to get rid of the car and move on from the situation.
After returning the vehicle, I was billed for Tesla Supercharging, which is completely fair since those charges are the renter’s responsibility. My concern was that when I asked for a breakdown of the charges, I was told everything was billed through the host’s credit card and no detailed charging history or calculation could be provided. The only thing I received was a photo of a calculator showing a total amount, but the numbers used to reach that total were not visible. Even so, I paid the amount requested to avoid further conflict.
Then, to top it all off, the host opened a damage claim for a rock chip on the roof glass. I have photo and video evidence from the beginning of the trip showing that the chip was already present before I picked up the vehicle.
What makes this especially disappointing is that I was still prepared to overlook the rude communication and leave a positive review. However, the lack of transparency regarding the Supercharging charges and being held responsible for damage that already existed left me feeling extremely disappointed.
This was my first Turo experience, and I was genuinely excited about it. Instead, it turned into a stressful experience from beginning to end. Based on my experience, I would not rent from this host ever again.

Overall very smooth transaction, the host is very good and honest with everything. No problem with the car, and we were picked up and dropped off by the host from the airport. Excellent customer service.
