Pickup was all right, though it would have been more convenient to have it handled through a lockbox. The car itself was okay, but it was not the cleanest. However, the experience went downhill from there. The worst part was discovering the car didn't have a spare tire. We got a flat. When I asked why there wasn't a spare, I was told it’s "not mandatory by law." While that may be true, providing no backup, not even a glue/sealant kit, on Quebec roads is the definition of doing the bare minimum. If you are a handy person who would prefer to change a tire yourself rather than wait hours for roadside assistance, do not rent from this host. There was zero customer service when things went wrong with parking tickets. I completely understand that the host is not responsible for the parking tickets. However, I received two parking tickets in one night for being in the same spot, just a few hours apart, and since only the owner can challenge them, I asked for help. The host refused to challenge the error because he didn't want to testify that the car hadn't moved and wait for a year. Next time, I will rather pay a bit more for a different car that comes with better customer service and, especially, a spare tire. That was my experience; yours might be different, especially when things don't go wrong.
Both situations you faced had nothing to do with us. There’s a road assistance insurance offered by Turo and you didn’t took it. They are in charge for road assistance not us. Even them didn’t assist you. And we are not responsible for your violation of the driving code, we will not go to court for your tickets. Your comment is very illogic. We also could’ve charged you 107$ for the gas you didn’t put back but we didn’t.
