The owner was punctual and easy to communicate with, and both pickup and drop-off went smoothly. However, the vehicle had significant maintenance and safety issues. At pickup, I was informed that the car had noticeable hesitation and vibration at low speeds. Unfortunately, due to my travel circumstances, I couldn't cancel the trip at that point.
I drove about 1800 km with the car, and the vibration/jerking was quite noticeable, especially in Toronto and Montreal traffic, which was stressful and felt unsafe. On the second night, I also discovered that one of the main headlights was not working properly, and I had to use the high beams when necessary.
Overall, the owner was reliable with the logistics, but I don't feel the vehicle was adequately maintained or ready for a long trip. I hope these safety and maintenance issues are addressed for future renters.

However, id like to highlight that we did not say the car had issues. Upon pick up you were informed that these specific year and models of the ford focus have a particular transmission system that feel like it’s jerking at lower speeds when changing its gear. And that this is a completely normal function and not at all a mechanical issues.
Pick up and drop off was super easy! We got the wrong terminal and he was super nice to even find us at the one we were at! Much appreciated!
The car drove well when the gears stayed in 1.5 RPM or higher otherwise it would jolt, he did let us know this upon pick up as well! We used it for highway driving and got half a tank when he dropped it off. But we only used 1/4 of the tank! It jad great highway kilometers. Overall I would go through them again.
