Unsafe vehicle, unresponsive host, shady billing
Rented this Kia Forte twice and ran into serious safety issues. AC stopped working mid booking. The spare tire kit was missing the mandatory tools needed to actually change it, and the wiper blades were completely worn out — basically not roadworthy. This caught up with me on the highway at night, and when I needed help, neither the host nor Turo support stepped in.
On top of the poor maintenance, I found the host appears to install cheaper aftermarket tires (around $100 each) but bills Turo around $400 per tire for “replacements.” Turo’s claims process seemed to side with the host throughout. Between the lack of basic safety upkeep and what feels like inflated damage billing, I can’t recommend booking with this host. Proceed with caution.
Turo helped me with second booking to cancel the trip but overall waste of time, lots of inconvenience and a cheat host.
It is unfortunate that you are able to post this review twice! I’m glad the car has 5* ratings before and after your reviews. I hope you have a better experience in the future.

Hi Pranik, it’s unfortunate your experience wasn’t like the many others that rented this car. When you run over or hit something and tire burst during your rental, it is 100% guest cost - this is true if you rent from traditional companies like enterprise or budget or Avis etc. as much as it is true for Turo, but for whatever reason you don’t understand this. Those were brand new tires installed this spring before your rental. I hope you have a better experience in the future.
