Terrible car, clean inside yes, owner was polite yes but the actual vehicle is an old car with parts from a salvage yard that have way after 1 day of me driving the car on a short day trip to Peggy's cove and Lunenburg. The car made strange sounds, felt like it was dragging/ pushing harder than it should have to speed up when driving, underpinning of the bumper fell apart leaving it extremely unsafe to drive. To top it off they tried to put the blame on me that it's new damage. No. The old rusted bolt and the old plastic underside of the part gave way and revealed a bar code socket showing it was a salvage yard part used on the car. By the owners own admission the car was driven on Turo just since the last 3 months - 16000 kms! Stop old cars being bought that are being held together using old salvaged yard parts? And when they finally give away they claim it as a guests fault? Turo should be investigating every car. Had i not checked around the car today to notice this part had fallen apart in a days driving - and no we did not get into any sccident/fender bender or hit anything at all, the old parts falling apart just did that. They fell apart within 24 hrs of me picking up the car.
Good think was they picked up the car right away from where I'm staying. Bad part... they are trying to say this is new damage. They have already listed the car with this now openly known defect and problem which I'm sure they will take to a cheap mechanic to stick together and hold together for a few more trips till it happens all over again.
How is this OK?
Now I have to rent a car at double the price last minute during what is supposed to be a fun and relaxing trip with my senior parents.

Rasna, while I understand this impacted your trip with your parents, this review misrepresents the facts. The vehicle is strictly maintained. The bumper damage is fresh impact damage, likely from a pothole, not a spontaneous failure. Your claim that it struggled to speed up is false; my immediate test drive proved it runs perfectly at 110km/h. Standard replacement parts don't excuse new physical damage caused during a rental.
As many reviews already said, communication is excellent! Car was vey clean. It’s an older car, but running great.

The host was great for communication and very helpful for a first time Turo user like myself. The car did end up having a break / rotor issue and we felt very unsafe driving it. Ended up return it early but the host was understanding and let us return it early with no issues.

Thank you, Amy, for your feedback. We’re sorry you had to experience the brake issue during your trip. We hadn’t heard anything from the previous guest, and we didn’t notice the issue when we drove the vehicle either. However, we took the car to our mechanic today and had it fixed. We replaced the brake pads and rotors with brand-new ones.
