Can I get from Sydney to Batemans Bay by bus?

Yes, there are several bus services that run directly between Sydney and Batemans Bay.

Buses run once daily and depart from Sydney at 9:00 am, arriving at Batemans Bay around 3:45 pm for a total journey of 6hrs and 45 mins.

Travelling by bus might be a cheaper option, however – taking public transport from the city to Batemans Bay takes significantly more time than booking a car. Plus, you’ll be limited in what you can see and explore during the trip and once you arrive in Batemans Bay, too.

Can I get a flight from Sydney to Batemans Bay?

Yes, you can still enjoy the breathtaking coastal views from above, with Regional Express (REX) offering flights directly from Sydney Airport. Regional Express flies a direct flight from Sydney Airport to Moruya Airport five days a week, with return flights travelling via Merimbula.

Moruya Airport (MYA) is just a 20-minute drive to the centre of Batemans Bay, allowing for a quick turnaround.

Going by plane is certainly the quickest mode of transport, getting to Batemans Bay in just 1hr and 35mins. But it comes at a cost, and you’ll miss out on must-see stops along the way.
