Stave off boredom with these pretty pictures

Still bored in the house? All quarantine long we’ve been bringing you regular moments of zen in the form of some of our most favorite motorcars from around the Turo marketplace. We like cars, you like cars, so let’s look at some cars.

BMW launched the 2002 in 1966, and the little sedan promptly brought BMW to the top of the German automaker food chain. The 2002 infused the everyday passenger car with a sportiness and sophistication that proved immensely popular with consumers — many credit this car for launching the sport sedan segment. Regulations of the era allowed for huge windows with great visibility, and the handsome slab-sided design still looks as elegant as ever in 2021.

Daren’s 1973 2002 has been completely restored, finished in Sahara Tan paint with a Tobacco Brown interior. The minimalist cabin has a sunroof and a functioning original radio, but not much else we’d call a luxury feature today. Bold yet simple lines and a friendly, unmistakably BMW face highlight the classic design of one of the most treasured and important models in BMW’s history.
