Introducing the Drive to Table experience

Turo has partnered with Michelin to open the door to a collection of exclusive culinary road trips. In celebration of the Michelin Guide’s road trip heritage, travelers will be able to claim these one-of-a-kind packages at four restaurants named to The Michelin Guide in California and New York.

Michelin has a storied past with its origins in car travel. The French tire maker was one of the first companies to foster and capitalize on the idea of the experiential road trip. Michelin set out to identify quality restaurants and hotels to provide worthy detours for extraordinary food and memorable lodging; early guides were published to get travelers out on the road and exploring. These assessments blossomed into today’s globally renowned Michelin Guide for fine dining.

The Drive to Table experience is aimed at capturing the spirit of the Guide’s road-trip roots, while honoring some of the most driven culinary entrepreneurs in the US. This is a very special opportunity to meet and sample the cuisine of world-class chefs at Barndiva in Healdsburg, Bell’s in Los Alamos, Al Coro in Manhattan, and Clover Hill in Brooklyn.

What’s included & how to claim

Two packages will be available each in California and New York, every Saturday from November 5 through December 18. Each package bundles an electric vehicle, restaurant, chef, and hotel stay. To claim a package, guests must book one of the cars set aside for the Drive to Table experience — each car corresponds with a restaurant.

All the participating chefs have made a point of working sustainability into their businesses, so to minimize the carbon footprint of the Drive to Table experience, we’ve curated an electric vehicle worthy of the occasion for each package. These classy EVs will become available to book for $150/day starting on Tuesday, November 1.

Guests who book the cars set aside for a package over a weekend (Saturday morning to Sunday night, at a minimum) in November and December will receive:

  • A reservation for two at a Michelin-Starred restaurant
  • A private culinary experience curated by the head chef of the restaurant
  • A one-night stay at a local hotel curated by The Michelin Guide hotel selection
