A Rocky Mountain unicorn

You don’t see Lamborghinis everyday, no matter where in the world you are.
But they’re an especially rare breed in the outdoorsy suburbs of Denver where Outbacks dot the streets, and where Turo owner Scott R. lives with his twin 12-year-old boys. “In fact,” he says, “there were only 15 Huracáns sold in all of Colorado. And I think mine is the only black one.”
Being such a rarity, Scott’s Huracán (often likened to the Batmobile) turns quite a few heads. His boys catch people sneaking pictures on the highway and when it’s parked around town. “It just amazes me,” he mused, “I’ve never seen a car that makes so many people smile. In today’s world where there’s just so much negative stuff, it’s great to be able to make people smile.”
With that in mind, he recalled, “When I saw Turo, I thought it’d be cool to make it available” and share the experience with other car lovers who may not otherwise have the opportunity to drive one.
On the plains or in the mountains, “it just has so much power, it grips the road incredibly…it’s really smooth and really fast.”
He listed it recently, so he hasn’t yet rented it out or had time (or weather conditions) to have it professionally photographed, which isn’t all that surprising with the Denver winter upon us. He has, however, been approached by businesses that want to feature it at events and openings for photo ops.
Car enthusiast or neophyte, design snob or function-over-form type, old or young — everyone loves a super-cool, super-rare supercar.
