To drive or to be driven, that is the question
The newest generation of BMW’s flagship luxury sedan has arrived and is the ideal mobile sanctuary. When you book Magna’s 2023 BMW 760i, your ride is your destination, as the updated 7 Series can be your movie theater, personal masseuse, professional music studio, and, if necessary, your premium performance car to drive around town. The 760i is nothing short of indulgent as BMW unveils a renaissance of design and technology, which generally first shows up on the 7 Series platform before trickling down to the rest of the German automaker’s lineup. Let’s take a deeper look at the 2023 BMW 7 Series — our March car of the month.

Magna is one of the first hosts to share the latest generation of the 7 Series on Turo, and their customized satin black 760i is sure to impress even the most discerning. Nearly every facet of the car’s exterior is draped in a stealthy silhouette, featuring all-black badges, exhaust pipes, and Koko Kuture rims. As a bonus, the blacked-out theme shades the 7 Series’ massive kidney grille — the face of the car’s controversial styling. With the 2023 redesign, you will also notice the split LED crystal headlights as the diamond theme extends throughout many of the car’s most visible touch points.

From the second you approach the 7 Series, it feels momentous. The sedan comes alive with a welcoming dance of light from the headlights, grille, running boards, and taillights. Following in the crystalline theme, the lights shimmer like a glistening jewel. And as you step closer, the doors automatically open and soft close once you’ve stepped inside.
The more time you spend driving (or being driven in) the 7 Series, the more you realize the similarities to the BMW-produced Rolls-Royce Ghost. Magna’s 760i presents a palette of dark textures including black Merino leather with diamond-embroidered stitching, open-pore wooden inserts, and piano black accents. These luxurious textiles are complimented by countless screens, a crystal gear shifter, and a crystal centerpiece that runs across the dashboard and side doors, glowing with ambient lighting that can match the mood, music, certain voice commands, and even the vehicle’s speed. Although producer Hans Zimmer designed cinematic acoustics to replace the electric i7’s lack of engine growl, the gasoline-powered 760i sibling boasts an advanced Bowers & Wilkins sound system that offers 4D surround sound and pairs with seat vibrations.

To bring a Rolls-Royce level of luxury to the 7 Series, this Bimmer is the first to showcase the Panoramic Sky Lounge, which integrates ambient lighting into the sun and moonroofs and weaves a diamond-patterned LED light show that takes night driving to a new sensory level. And beneath the sky lounge sits the most impressive seats in the car: the executive lounge. Sit back and recline up to 42.5 degrees to watch your favorite movie on a 31-inch curved theater screen with 8k resolution and integrated Amazon FireTV. No need to worry about streaming quality as the 7 Series has built-in 5G WiFi. For controls, rear passengers have their own five-inch removable tablets in the side doors. With these sumptuous details and limo-quality comforts, it’s easy to forget that the ornate 7 Series is still the “ultimate driving machine.”

Under the 760i hood lies a 4.4L twin-turbocharged V8 engine that outputs nearly 200 hp more than its 740i sibling, and reaches 60 mph an entire second quicker. The V8 works synchronously with a 48-volt mild hybrid transmission that results in 536 hp, coincidentally the exact same power as the all-electric i7 sibling. Also, the all-wheel-drive system pairs with two-axle air suspension for cloud-like comfort over bumpy roads or steep driveways. But, one of the coolest additions to the 760i is its rear-wheel steering, which enables shorter turning angles and greater maneuverability around tight parking spaces.
The flagship grand sedan is also equipped with advanced safety technology like handsfree highway driving and a proactive collision mitigation system — features that may seem like the distant future for most cars. But for a flagship tech-powerhouse like the 7 Series, the future of automotive safety comes standard today and sizes up BMW’s best against luxury competitors like Mercedes-Benz or Tesla.

The 760i sets the intention, predicting your every need both in the driveway and on the road. Next-level luxury is within reach, as Magna’s 760i is ready for you to book for your next Phoenix adventure.
