Take a break with these pretty pictures

Every few Fridays, we like to bring you moments of zen in the form of some of our favorite motorcars from around the Turo marketplace. Let’s keep the fun going. We like cars, you like cars, so let’s look at some cars.

Ever since launching the MP4-12C in 2011, McLaren has made a habit of consistently bringing new, critically acclaimed supercars to market. McLaren introduced the GT a few years ago to serve as — surprise — the grand tourer of the lineup. While the GT draws heavily on the brand’s race-bred bonafides, it offers a decidedly more comfortable experience for daily driving, if a 600-horsepower supercar can provide such a thing.

The shark-like silhouette and dihedral doors of Vijay’s 202 McLaren GT certainly don’t scream “daily driver,” but a roomier, leather-and-suede cabin and more usable cargo space (compared to other McLaren models) make it a pleasant place to sit. Though it lacks the top-level luxury of grand tourers from Aston Martin and Bentley, the screaming twin-turbo V8 behind the driver’s head puts the GT in elite company when it comes to exotic performance. 612 horsepower, 2.8 seconds to sixty, and did we mention the doors?

Also, Vijay’s GT has one of the better vanity plates you’ll see out there. This is definitely one to try if you’re looking for a real supercar experience that won’t cause back aches.
