Every few Fridays we like to bring you moments of zen in the form of some of our favorite motorcars from around the Turo marketplace. As the country hits the road this summer, let’s keep the fun going. We like cars, you like cars, so let’s look at some cars.
The Air is the impressive first model from California-based EV startup Lucid Motors. Last month we showcased the first Lucid Air on Turo, a 1,111-horsepower Dream Edition Performance version. Cody’s Air in Phoenix is in the slightly more accessible Grand Touring trim, which offers an EPA-estimated 516 miles of range while still pumping out over 800 horsepower. This EV is all-wheel drive, does 60 mph in three seconds flat, and has more battery range than any Tesla.
Cody’s car stands out with a matte finish that really accentuates the Air’s horizontal elements on the front and rear. And it also feels special inside. This is an expensive, large executive sedan, so buyers and guests expect to be treated with fittingly luxurious materials and features. Like most new EVs, the Air’s cabin leans minimal and modern, but it looks and feels as exclusive and high-quality as it should. The big splash is the expansive glass canopy that extends from the hood to the rear row, opening up the world to the car’s occupants, as if to underline the name Air.
