Take a break with these pretty pictures
Every few Fridays, we like to bring you moments of zen in the form of some of our favorite motorcars from around the Turo marketplace. Let’s keep the fun going. We like cars, you like cars, so let’s look at some cars.
By now, battery power has made it into every vehicle segment on the market, from sports cars to pickup trucks. There are still just a handful of electric three-row SUVs, though, and most command a pretty penny. Enter the Kia EV9: a fully electric, full-size SUV that doesn’t break the bank. Reviews of Kia’s largest EV have been impressively stellar — it balances edgy styling, solid battery range, and fast DC charging in a comfortable package that’s perfectly suited for family road trips.

EVentures’ 2024 Kia EV9 in Cincinnati comes in the Wind trim — a sweet-spot midrange version that benefits from the more powerful dual-motor, all-wheel drive powertrain that’s good for 379 horsepower and up to 280 miles of range. Its maximum DC fast-charging speed is notably rapid as well — up to 100 miles added to the battery in just 13 minutes at the right station.

The EV9’s interior is pleasantly modern, with a wide screen housing the gauge cluster and most controls. This example has the second-row bench seats that can fold flat, but captain’s chairs can be optioned as well. Overall it’s a compelling and affordable package for families and large groups, stacking up well against more luxurious options from the likes of Tesla, Mercedes-Benz, and Rivian.
