Still bored in the house? All quarantine long we’ve been bringing you regular moments of zen in the form of some of our most favorite motorcars from around the Turo marketplace. We like cars, you like cars, so let’s look at some cars.
The Mercedes-AMG line of rousing GT four-doors takes a name and inspiration from the AMG GT sports car. But with four seats and impressive cargo space under the sloped rear hatch, drivers can share the thrills with family. So yeah, it’s a practical AWD luxury sedan, but as with any AMG vehicle, it was meant to be driven. Turo host Ti’s brand-new 2021 Mercedes AMG GT53 falls in the middle of the range (GT43 to GT63), housing a supercharged and turbocharged 3.0L inline-6 engine, plus an electric motor, making 429 horsepower total.
But you needn’t be an off-duty race car driver to appreciate the excellence of this vehicle. As is expected from a Mercedes-Benz sedan — Mercedes tends to lead the way on interior design and functionality — this interior is nothing short of magnificent. This cockpit is futuristic, sleek, pumped full of tech, and covered in lovely red leather and stitching. Behind the new wheel of a new Benz is just a great place to be.
