Still bored in the house? All quarantine long we’ve been bringing you regular moments of zen in the form of some of our most favorite motorcars from around the Turo marketplace. We like cars, you like cars, so let’s look at some cars.
As you might gather from the name, the McLaren GT is the grand tourer of the McLaren lineup. Though it has all the race-bred bonafides of McLaren supercars, the GT emphasizes luxury and comfort over pure performance, pitting it against other exotic cruisers from the likes of Aston Martin and Bentley. Climbing through the dihedral doors of Ben’s 2020 GT, you’re greeted with a sleek and sumptuous interior covered with leather and suede. But the real trick is the electrochromatic glass roof, which changes from transparent to varying levels of opacity at the touch of a button!
Behind the cockpit lies a twin-turbo V8 pushing out 612 horsepower, which is more than enough to fill the GT’s performance stat sheet with elite numbers. But with this more daily drivable McLaren, style takes the front seat — Ben’s car comes with a subtle Cirrus Grey finish, adding an element of restraint to the spaceship-like shape. Ben also offers the more hardcore McLaren 570GT, but if you’re looking for highway cruising with a load of glamor, his 2020 McLaren GT is what you want.
