Take a break with these pretty pictures
Every few Fridays, we like to bring you moments of zen in the form of some of our favorite motorcars from around the Turo marketplace. Let’s keep the fun going. We like cars, you like cars, so let’s look at some cars.
The Fisker Karma is a fascinating early hybrid built for just a couple short years before the fledgling carmaker went bankrupt. The Karma was launched in 2012 as a luxurious alternative to the Tesla Model S. This exotic, four-seat plug-in hybrid certainly wasn’t as successful as the Tesla, but its alluring silhouette and gorgeous leather-and-suede interior still turns heads today. Blue Ridge City’s Karma in Asheville, North Carolina is also finished in an eye-catching chameleon wrap, making it one of the most unique things on the road.

The Karma is powered by two electric motors with a four-cylinder gas engine that powers the generator. EV mode will take it about 50 miles on battery alone before switching back to hybrid mode, and the battery can be charged through regenerative braking and the solar-cell roof! What the Karma lacks in all-out performance, it makes up for in style and rarity, and the car stands out as an electric pioneer to this day.
